1. Are LEONIDAS chocolates best stored in the fridge to keep them fresh? |
In
order to enjoy the LEONIDAS chocolates containing
alcohol or butter cream at their best, we recommend
storing them in a cool place and to eat them cool
Our pure chocolate and our chocolates with praliné,
ganache, cream, liqueur cream or almond paste fillings
and our truffles are best stored at a temperature
of around 60 degrees Fahrenheit. |

2.
Do the LEONIDAS products contain vegetable fat
or oils? |
LEONIDAS's
position on this issue has always been very clear
and simple: LEONIDAS does not use vegetable fats
or oils other than cocoa butter in either its chocolates
or its fillings. |

3. Are LEONIDAS products well known in Belgium, the country of chocolate par excellence? |
LEONIDAS
chocolates currently hold a third of the market
in their segment and enjoy an excellent reputation.
In the "Compétition des marques 2003,
which asked nearly 20,000 consumers for their opinion,
the outright winner in the chocolate category was
LEONIDAS: 55% of the Belgian consumers said that
LEONIDAS are and remain the most highly-rated chocolates
in Belgium, the country of chocolate par excellence. |

4. Is chocolate good for your health? |
Chocolate is known to have anti-depressant qualities, which could be linked to the small quantity of serotonin found in chocolate. Serotonin is naturally present in the brain and affects our mood. Other substances contained in chocolate help you stay awake and alert, help your muscles work, stimulate the appetite and help mental activity and alertness. Remember that a good quality chocolate only contains cocoa, pure cocoa butter and sugar. |

5. Pralines or chocolates? |
Pralines
is the Belgian name for chocolates, both in French
and in Flemish. A praline is a Belgian chocolate
made of delicious Belgian chocolate encapsulating
a mouth-watering filling. The English, however,
use the word "praline" for what is listed in the Glossary as Praliné,
i.e. a mixture of nuts, sugar and chocolate, usually
used as a filling. |

6. How can I purchase conveniently Leonidas Chocolates from my living room? |

7. Does the LEONIDAS range comprise Kosher chocolates |
We do not currently have Kosher certification for our products. Some of our products, however, are included in a list of authorized products published by the Consistory of Paris, a central Jewish organization (http://www.consistoire.org). 8. I am allergic; can I eat LEONIDAS products without having to worry about allergic reactions? |
It
all depends on what type of allergy you have. Some
LEONIDAS products contain allergens (gluten for
instance). If you have a food allergy, you should
simply send us an e-mail and we will gladly tell
you which chocolates are safe for the allergy you

I am having trouble with checking out my shopping
cart in the web store |
There
are normally two reasons why the checkout process
is
not going as smooth as you hoped:
1.
The billing and shipping addresses are missing
information or the credit card number had numbers
transposed. In this case, please review your information
and note the * in each one of the fields that are
required.
2.
The Javascripts are not enabled in your browser.
This often happens when you use your corporate
security setups or your browsers security levels
have been increased. Please enable running the
Javascripts in you browser.
